About Me
Sujatha Ramanathan is a Bharatanatyam artiste from Mumbai . A former Senior Vice President in a multinational bank . A Graded artiste from the Doordarshan, trained in Carnatic music .
Her choreographies are a reflection of her deep understanding of the art form with intrinsic and nuanced abhinaya with sharp footwork.
Her presentations include traditional choreographies learned from her Guru and some of her own.
She believes that the rich traditions handed down by her Guru are like treasures and safeguard them as learning. Her vision is to promote the “Margam” tradition through events and extend opportunities to upcoming talent.
She believes that dance is her purpose and dedicates her learning to her mother who has encouraged her right from her early growing-up days in Chennai.
