Smt. Sujatha Ramanathan is a renowned Bharatanatyam dancer, choreographer, educator, known for her artistic depth and commitment to classical dance. Trained under legendary gurus including Padmashri Adayar K. Lakshman, she also studied Abhinaya, Mohiniattam, and Natyashastra extensively.
Her acclaimed productions like Rama Amritam, Raas Antara, and Hanumanin Thavam have been performed across India, the U.S., and Nepal. A Doordarshan-graded artiste and recipient of awards such as Nritya Kala Choodamani and Bharat Gaurav Samman, she also holds a Master’s in Bharatanatyam and a Bachelor’s in Music.
Beyond the stage, she is a dedicated educator and researcher. Her work, “Life Skills and Leadership through Dance”, is published by Sangeet Natak Akademi. She has lectured at IIM Mumbai and engages students and elders alike through her outreach initiatives and workshops.
